Pippin was, as most of my piglets are, a whim. I wanted two piggies, and
Seamus was living in his giant
Pig Heaven all by his lonesome and desperately needed a roommate. So along camp Pippin. We bought him from the same pet store where we bought Seamus. Pippin is too smart for his own good. In fact, he's too smart to be a guinea pig—one of the many reasons as to why he so severely dislikes poor Seamus. He suffers from a very obvious Napoleon complex, being the little pig that he is. He just never really grew a whole lot, and now he's the smallest of the three. After
Ampersand was brought into the picture, Pippin's true colors showed. Before, he would just act annoyed with Seamus sometimes, but once that little one was there, Pippin went on attack mode. Every chance he could get, he would threaten poor Shay, and finally it proved his downfall. We bought another, smaller Pig Heaven (more like a Pig Purgatory), and Pippin now lives in it, by himself, and completely content to be that way. We no longer hear the grinding of little pig teeth, and in fact, Pippin seems to enjoy our company more now that he's a loner.
