Binx is
my kitten. After an extremely rough March in 2007, my mom and Jeremy talked me into getting a kitten to make me feel better. We finally found her at the
Lee County Humane Society. The moment I walked into the cat room there, little Binx grabbed my arm. Although she was a little older than I was looking for, I couldn't resist her. Apparently, she had been found in the mall parking lot and had been at the humane society for a month. She had been fixed recently, and the name on the tag read SAVANNAH. We filled out an adoption form, were approved, and were told we could pick her up the next afternoon. We had already decided to name whatever cat we got Binx (because I like the name, it's just ironic that it ended up being a black cat—see
Hocus Pocus). I'd also decided that I was gonna keep whatever name the cat had at the shelter as her middle name, but "Binx Savannah" didn't sound right, so we swapped it to Savannah Binx, and it was perfect! She's a big pain in the rear, and I love her every secong for it! She bugs the living crap out of
Gus, but Gussy's learning to deal with it better each day. Binx can't stand it if she's not the center of attention. She lets
Peteman bite her and play with her as much as he wants, but she's always on the lookout for a hand that will pet her. She's our little socialite.
