Ampersand is our youngest, cutest piglet EVER! One afternoon, I was sitting at my desk at work, and I had decided I was gonna stay there for lunch because I was just snacking all day, when I heard something in the back of my head say, "Go to the PetSmart on 72." And I thought, Why? I never go to that PetSmart. I go to the other one. Ah well, I'll just go and look around. It'll give me a break from working for a few minutes anyway. Then I thought, Nah, maybe I'll just go after work with Jeremy. But as soon as I thought that, something in my head said, "No, that'll be too late." So for some reason, I drove across town, and I walked in, and I looked in the pig cages... and there were no piglets there. So I looked around a bit before coming back to the pig cages, and little Ampersand poked his nose out, and HE WAS AN ABYSSINIAN!! I've been looking for one since Davie. So I asked to see the little tyke, and just as the girl was coming to open the cage, some little four-year-old walked up and said, "Daddy! Look at the hamster!" and her dad said, "Is that the one you want?" And then I said, "I'd like to look at this one" as fast as I could. Now, Amp and Seamus live happily together in Pig Heaven, while Pippin lives out the rest of his days alone and proud of it.
